Island escape! posted by Reg on 10/08/2007 at 09:27 (link)
Over the last couple of weeks, Team FJ have been stuck on an island. We chartered a flight from FJ HQ to Blackpool so we could ride the donkeys and wear ‘Kiss me Quick’ hats, but we crashed on route.

Stuck on a tropical island, we had the choice of trying to escape, or accepting our fate. We obviously chose the lounging around on the beach and frolicking in the surf option, while drinking coconut milk fresh from the trees. But then we realised there wasn’t any more booze on the island because we'd finished all the mini gins from the aeroplane, and we all got really ‘annoyed’ with each other and marked our faces up with war paint and started fighting.

But we made it back in one piece, and now we’re all friends again. Which is odd, because we never liked each other much before we left in the first place. Anyway, a word of advice. If you’re about to fly out on holiday, make sure you don’t use the same airline as us, we’d hate for you to get stranded in the middle of nowhere too.

Close Encounters of a Musical Kind
Igor Stravinsky was very happy with his closing music for the ballet "The Firebird" but when it was pointed out by his friends in the pub that John Williams had used almost the same thematic structure in the music for the closing scene of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" he decided to use a radical new musical form which lead to such masterpieces as "Petrouschka" and "The Rte of Spring"
Unreliable Facts from The Brains Trust

A blind bloke walks into a shop with a guide dog. He picks the Dog up and starts swinging it around his head. Alarmed, a shop assistant calls out: 'Can I help, sir?' 'No thanks,' says the blind bloke. 'Just looking.'
