As the sun slowly began to rise over the Heel Stone on Salisbury plain, and the first of her warmth was felt on the faces of the Pagans who'd gathered to celebrate at England's most famous henge, the sun had a moment of thought...
Should I, or should I not play a practical joke this year?
Ever the comedienne, she ducked back down for a few long seconds. The noise turned to a quiet murmur as thousands of hippies suddenly held their breath, bongs and spliffs just a few inches from their lips... The murmurs turned to anxious questions, and the babbling grew in volume.
Tentatively the sun crept up behind the Sarcens for a second time and a sigh of relief swept through the crowd, only to be cut short as she ducked back down for a second time. She had another think and decided that she couldn't get away with this for long, so she raced around the other side of the world and arose quickly in the Western sky, belted over the top at a blistering speed and settled in the East. Thus started the New Age Riots at Stonehenge this morning... the first day of Summer.
I think you know where this is going.
Yes, today IS the first day of Summer... the Solstice if you will, which can only mean one thing. It means you'd better get those 2 CDs finished now because the Burn is going to start any minute. So get your jiffy bags ready and wait for our emailed instructions which should be appearing in your inbox sometime later today.

A neutron walks into a bar. "I'd like a beer" he says.
The bartender promptly serves up a beer.
"How much will that be?" asks the neutron.
"For you?" replies the bartender, "no charge." - Tommy Cooper |
